24NewsNow.com
2006-2013
I founded 24NewsNow.com to keep young people engaged in politics and current events.
Launching in 2006, 24NewsNow.com was an independent, international online news organization producing multiplatform news for teenagers — by teenagers.
Goal
Our objective was to inform the next generation of leaders about national politics by simplifying the events happening in the news and sharing it on all platforms.
Multi-platform
24NewsNow.com made the news easily digestible for viewers of any age.
Using newly emerging live stream technology, we created the world’s first 24 hour channel dedicated to student journalism.

News Team
After our content became popular around the U.S., students from around the country reached out to join the reporting team.
THE BEGINNING
From the basement studio I built in my parents’ Connecticut home, I started broadcasting with my brother Eunes and childhood friends Colleen Joyce and Brad McRoberts.
EARLY SUCCESS
After being featured on international news channels, including CNN, the news team grew to 25 reporters. Middle and high school students from coast to coast contributed reports on the top stories of the day to our nightly national newscast.
BIG STORES
At its height, the website received more than 10,000 hits per day, with young viewers interested in some of the biggest stories of our time.
- 2012 and 2008 Presidential Elections
- California Wildfires
- Virginia Tech Shooting
- Cheshire, CT Home Invasion
