Once I interned at 30 Rock for the first time, I knew I had to go back. I decided I wanted to return to NBC News in New York City for Summer 2013, but in a different role.

I wanted a position where my main responsibility is reporting and I got just that at NBC Local Media. I was hired for the paid internship at the national desk of NBC?s Owned and Operated Local Television Stations.

This means I created articles, videos and photo galleries on national topics that were published on all 10 of the NBC owned local station websites, including NBCNewYork.com and NBCLosAngeles.com.

I had a fantastic time working with the national team and being a part of national news coverage. I had the chance to pitch story ideas and do original reporting as well as contribute to the National and International News Blog.
